Wild Things: Untold Tales from the First Century of the Saint Louis Zoo

The Coral Court first became famous because of its prime location on US 66, just outside of St. Louis. Heading west, it was a natural stop after a day's drive from Chicago. During the highway's heyday, the motel was booked solid, often months in advance. Very much like the highway she resided on, the Coral Court had a nurturing quality to her. Whether the people were tourist families, businessmen, motel employees or regular weekly customers, the Coral Court became a part of them, and the memories made, collected and shared, have blended into the archives of our country's cultural growth and history. Tales from the Coral Court preserves the memories of all those, who at one time or another, knew a place called Coral Court.
